Alt-Roc k band Nada Surf will be releasing a new album as well as continuing their world-wide tour, celebrating its release. if i had a hi-fi is in stores June 8th via the band’s label Mardev Records, but fans may purchase the album in CD and Vinyl format exclusively at their upcoming us tour dates. if i had a hi-fi will be a cover album featuring songs written by several notable artists including “Electrocution” written by Cleveland musician Bill Fox and Depeche Mode’s classic “Enjoy the Silence”. So far it seems if i had a hi-fi has been receiving solid reviews, earning a 4/5 from Alternative Press and 4/5 from Mojo.
With all that said we’ll have to see how a cover album works out for Nada Surf. To me it kind of shows a little lack of imagination, hopefully this isn’t the end for Nada Surf. Personally I have enjoyed them for many years.
